Service starts at 11am, so get there early, bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on, things for the kids to do during service. There will be food, so bring some cash to pay for your lunch. Should be a great day, temp will be about 68 and partly cloudy. If you are walking or running dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. Look forward to seeing everyone!
Here are the announcements for the service/Walk on May 19th at Franklin Park:
1) Service starts at 11:00-Javier Amaya will be preaching
2) There will be a bus shuttle running from Forest Hills T stop at the Washington Street site
3) Get there early to allow for parking
4) We have about 600 people signed up to fund raise-that’s great! (For the benevolence group-please arrange for a table for additional sign ups this Sunday-many people don’t start fund raising until 1-2 weeks in advance-if you will not be in town for Sunday please make arrangements)
5) There will be food donation drive at the service-Here are the requested food items per region: Metro/Downtown-tuna North-cereal Spanish and South-soup.
6) Please be speaking up for the needy-this event supports the food pantry and our donation for HOPE worldwide in a big way.
7) The HOPE World Cup sign up for August 3rd will start now as well. The time of the event will be 2-6 in Waltham. This event supports the Central American Brigades.
