Mark Buchholz

Mark and BethMark Buchholz was married to his bride, Beth in 1984 and moved to Boston while on their honeymoon.  They have been blessed with three children, twin boys Jonathan and Steven and a daughter Catherine. Jonathan married Rachel Ayasse and together they serve in Milan as the Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader.  Catherine is married to Rafael Hernandez and are part of the Downtown region, Steven is married to Nicole Ayasse (yes Rachel’s sister) and are part of the Metro region.

Beth is a native of Boston and was a part of the church here in Boston even before 1984 while on break and over the summers.  Beth was baptised in 1976 while attending the University of Georgia to take some course work required to get into Veterinary School.  Mark was baptised in 1976 at the Crossroads Congregation.  Beth moved to Gainesville to study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida and her and Mark met while part of the campus ministry. While there Mark obtained his BS degree in applied mathematics from the University of Florida.  After graduating they were engaged, married and moved to Boston in 1984 to continue their ministry dreams.  After working in their careers for 3 years they were asked to go into the ministry where they served as House Church Leaders and Region Leaders in what is now the Metro Region.  They then came out of the ministry in 1991 and went back into their careers.  In 2000 they were asked to go full time again in the Shepherding ministry and Mark became an Elder in 2004.  During the economic challenges of the early 2000’s they were let go and Beth went back into her Veterinary Career.  Mark was later rehired as a full time elder in 2006 where he now serves the church today.  Recently Mark was elected to be the Chairman of the Elders and the leadership team in Boston.

Mark enjoys spending time with Beth and his children, grilling, boating and fishing, watching movies and playing sports.  Beth rides horses and has a program she is building to use horses in therapy with children.

“I believe the best days of the Boston Church are ahead of us.  We have gone through our trials and seen some incredible things happen in our 30 year history and by faith we will see even great things in the future.” John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
